R&B's Future: Adrian Marcel "Weak After Next" – Stream Now

Here we have it. The future of R&B right here. Bay Area native and “2AM” singer Adrian Marcel is one talented young guy and who could blame him when his mentor is Raphael Saadiq. Weak After Next hosted by Don Cannon, DJ Amen, and Dj Carisma, is the official follow-up for Marcel’s “7 Days of Weak”. Features include Kelly Rowland, Casey Veggies, E-40, Snoop Dogg and Raphael Saadiq. Soulful, traditional, and unorthodox…Weak After Next combines the Ty Dolla $ign type provocative R&B with the traditional 90s smooth R&B. My favorite tracks include “Runnin”, “Call You Mine”, “Honey” ft. Kelly Rowland, and an 8-minute track called “Fly” produced by Raphael Saadiq. Marcel’s bay area collab with E-40 “Two Fingerz” talks about a woman who lies and Marcel decides it’s time to let the complicated love situation go. Although these are our highlight songs, the project can be played straight through. Concepts of love, heartbreak, sex, lifestyle, success, all categorize the mixtape. Marcel ends his project with a cover of James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s World”, which he performed at the BET Awards actually. Overall, Weak After Next was pretty damn good and I recommend it to all of our visitors. Stream below.
