Ezell Walter Gaines also known by his stage name Marion Bands, formerly “Yung Walt”, was born and raised by single mother Lanett Reagor in South Central Los Angeles, CA. Marion has been in the music industry since 2006 as an independent writer, recording artist, and producer. Marion is also a member of the multi-platinum production company 1500 or Nothin’. Through them Marion has been associated with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Jay Z, TI, Bruno Mars, Master P etc.
His latest accomplishments include, but are not limited to, hundreds of thousands of Youtube views by fans and the following singles:
· “No Way Jose”- written by and featuring Marion Bands for Master P featuring Alley Boy & Fat Trel; Along with three other songs.
· “Hold Up”- written and performed by Marion Bands featuring Nipsey Hussle. This song was licensed to Rockstar Video Games for the Grand Theft Auto V video game/soundtrack in 2013 and is one of the games smash hits.
· “Sneakerhead”- the hook was written by and featuring Marion Bands for Young Marqus and Wale in 2013.
· “Need Nobody”- written and performed by Marion Bands featuring Rocko in 2013.
Marion recently formed his own company, a partnership accompanied by his brothers, called “First Class Entertainment/Productions LLC”. They are an independent production company and will soon become a publishing company. The company promotes events and the first project under their belt is Marion’s EP, “I Remember Nights”. First Class Ent. has facilitated and funded this entire project. Unsigned with any record deals, major labels, nor publishing companies Marion will continue building his brand through First Class Entertainment/Production and his independent work in the music industry.
