Chief Keef has reportedly been dropped from Interscope Records according to reports from AllHipHop & Complex. The Chicago rapper has apparently been struggling with Interscope execs over the direction of his next album and his career in general – which lead to arguments and the end of the Interscope relationship. Chief Keef put Back From the Dead 2 on Itunes lastnight for pre-order but GBE is listed as the label (not Interscope).
We all know the young rapper has had some struggles with his personal life over the past year or so – however, Chicago’s popular drill music still can be accredited to the quick rise of Chief Keef’s beginnings. The artist took to Twitter to confirm that he is no longer with Interscope via a text message with a friend.
