Nike continues to push the limit with the introduction of the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0. The running shoe features a self-lacing system in which your heel hits a sensor once you step into the shoe. The shoe then features two buttons on the sides where an individual can tighten or loosen the shoe based on their needs. The lacing comes together due to the shoe’s underfoot lacing system.
“Wouldn’t it be great if a shoe, in the future, could sense when you needed to have it tighter or looser? Could it take you even tighter than you’d normally go if it senses you really need extra snugness in a quick maneuver? That’s where we’re headed. In the future, product will come alive.” – Tiffany Beers of Nike
