Up & Comer Hugh Augustine Captures L.A. Lifestyle in New Video “Nights on Replay”

L.A. Rapper Hugh Augustine drops a new video for his latest single “Nights on Replay” featuring The Internet’s Syd Tha Kid. In this nostalgic video, we’re transported to a wild night out with the talented lyricist as he and Syd turn up in warehouse parties and kick back in upscale penthouses. As both the sound and visuals evoke memories of those raucous late-nights we’ve all experienced at some point, the entire production captures the lifestyle and energy of carefree youth.

Syd’s smooth, catchy hook adds a layer of ease to Hugh’s witty, quick-hitting verses. Commenting on his creative vision for the video, the L.A. native told Billboard, “It’s an expression of a surreal experience, a night that I want to last forever, something that happens often when you grow up in L.A. And the video shows that. This is the party I want to be at all night. I want to do this all night. That’s the shit.”

The shit, indeed. However, this isn’t the rapper’s first go-round as he’s been making music since 2010 and has released four albums: Massimo Ciabatta, Hurry Up and Wait, Hughmonogous, Word is Bond, and Still Standin on LaBrea. Only recently did he land a feature spot on Isaiah Rashad’s track “Tity and Dolla” off his debut album under TDE, The Sun’s Tirade.

Check the video out below for yourself. We’re sure you’ll keep this one on replay.
