The Internet’s Syd Releases Debut Solo Album, “Fin”

The Internet’s Syd has shared her debut solo album, Fin, lead by her recent singles “All About Me” and “Body”. The 12-track album features the singer taking on an Aaliyah-esque approach to her performances with sleek velvet vocals that ride much of her synthy late night production. Syd joins her sensual side and affinity for crew love throughout the album, switching from tracks about lust and keeping company to letting listeners know that she’s climbing the ranks with her family.

“This album is not that deep, but I feel like this is my descent into the depth I want the band to get to,” Syd shared with The Fader late last year. “For me, this is like an in-between thing — maybe get a song on the radio, maybe make some money, have some new s*** to perform.”
